Which text goes and which text stays

The tool removes any text that was added to the image afterwards: promo lines, discount callouts, dimension labels, captions. It fills the cleared areas with matching background. Anything that belongs to the product stays: the brand name on the bottle, the printing on the box, the label on the garment.

That distinction is what makes it usable for sellers. An eraser that also wipes the packaging print produces a product image that no longer matches what the customer receives.

Why text doesn't belong on an Amazon main image

Amazon states the rule unusually clearly:

• The main image may not contain text, logos, borders, color blocks, watermarks, or other graphics that aren't part of the product.
• Amazon's help page on text and logos also lists warranties, seals of approval, prices, shipping methods, and watermarks as information not allowed in any product image.
• If an image doesn't meet the requirements, Amazon can remove it or suppress the listing from search until compliant images are provided.

Typical catalog cases

A manufacturer ships images with sales copy baked in that has to go for the main image. An old gallery image still mentions an expired promotion. A graphic needs a clean version to be relabeled. In each case you upload the full set and get it back cleaned, 1 credit per image.
