Remove backgrounds from product photos

Cut out an entire photo series in one run, as transparent PNGs or on pure white for Amazon.

What bulk background removal does

The tool separates every product from its background and drops everything around it: tabletop, wall, cables, shadows on the floor. You pick the output once for the whole batch. Transparent PNG when the cutout goes into a graphic or the next editing step. White JPG when it goes straight to upload.

The white is exactly RGB 255, 255, 255, the value Amazon requires for the main image, and the one a slightly grey phone photo misses. Each cutout costs 0.1 credit, so the 10 free credits you get without an account cover 100 images.

What Amazon checks on a main image background

These are Amazon's own requirements, not our recommendations:

  • The main image background is pure white: RGB 255, 255, 255.
  • A frame, line, or border along the edge of the image counts as a non-white background.
  • Shadows that reach the edge of the frame are not allowed. After a cutout, no grey leftovers, artifacts, or outlines may remain around the edges.
  • The product fills at least 85% of the frame and is shown in full.
  • Without a compliant main image, Amazon can suppress the listing from search.
  • Secondary images may use a neutral or environmental background.

Transparent or white, and what comes next

Choose white when the image goes up as your main image; JPEG is the format Amazon recommends. Choose transparent when the product will later sit in an infographic, an A+ module, or on a new background.

A cutout without ground contact can look pasted in. Use “Process results further” to pass the images to the Shadow tool as your next batch and pick a contact, directional, or reflection shadow.

Frequently asked questions

Is the white background really pure white?

Yes. With the “White (JPG)” option, SellerVisuals places the cutout on a surface of exactly RGB 255, 255, 255 and saves it as a JPG.

How many product photos can I cut out at once?

Up to 1,000 images per batch, or up to 50 without an account. At 0.1 credit per image, 1,000 cutouts cost 100 credits.

Is a cutout enough for an Amazon main image?

For the background, yes. Amazon checks more than that: the product fills at least 85% of the frame, is fully visible, and appears only once. Text, logos, and props that aren't included stay off the main image.

Can I replace the background instead of removing it?

Yes, with the Change background tool. Pick one of 12 scenes or upload your own background image.
